Republican State Senate candidate Dave Renzi made a tour around Oswego County Tuesday to talk with residents about his plans for the seat if elected this fall. A native of Watertown, Renzi is competing against Senator Darrel Aubertine for the 48th District seat on the state Senate.
In a five minute address on Tuesday, Governor David Paterson promised to do what state leaders have been avoiding for decades: Shrink the size of state government and help New York taxpayers who he says are struggling to do more with less money.
Almost four years since it closed, efforts are underway to get the county fire school back up and running. The county closed on the facility July 1.
