SUNY Oswego continues to be ranked in the top half of the top tier by U.S. News and World Report’s 2020 Top Regional Universities in the North, according to the publication released today (Sept. 9).

Thank a Service Member, Inc., a not-for-profit organization based in Oswego has partnered with local organizations to provide a convenient way for the community to retire unserviceable flags.

Visitors to Oswego’s historic Fort Ontario will get to see past and present merge, thanks to an augmented reality project by a SUNY Oswego graduate student. Theodore Johnson, a student in the master’s in human-computer interaction program, completed the project thanks to a grant from the college’s new Impact Scholars program, robust archives and expert teamwork.

Aerial spraying of portions of the towns of Palermo, Mexico and Hastings was completed between 6 and 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9. Weather permitting, the Oswego County Health Department will conduct another aerial spray over the Toad Harbor Swamp area Tuesday, Sept. 10.

The Oswego County Health Department plans to conduct aerial spraying of approximately 12,000 acres in portions of the towns of Palermo, Mexico and Hastings this evening, Sept. 9. Weather permitting, the county will conduct a second aerial spray over the Toad Harbor Swamp area Tuesday, Sept. 10.
