NSF Grant Supports Oswego Professor’s, Undergraduates’ Study Of Cell Movement

Committee Approves Mayor’s City-County Partnership Plan

Mayor Billy Barlow officially requested authorization to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the city of Oswego and county of Oswego. The agreement will create a partnership between the city of Oswego Department of Code Enforcement and Oswego County Department of Social Services. The Oswego Board of Education held its annual re-organizational meeting on Tuesday. The vote to name a new president ended in a tie due to the absence of board member James Bell. Instead of holding a re-vote, the board decided to postpone the vote until next week’s regular meeting. The vote for a new vice president was also postponed for a week.

Border Patrol Agent Arrested for Distribution of Child Pornography

Keith E. Hook, 54, of Oswego, appeared in federal court Monday (July 2) on a charge that he distributed child pornography over the internet, announced United States Attorney Grant C. Jaquith and Kevin M. Kelly, Special Agent in Charge of the Buffalo Field Office of Homeland Security Investigations.
