State Police in Fulton are investigating a fatal car/pedestrian accident that occurred around 1 p.m.on Thursday (Aug. 28), on County Route 57 in the town of Volney. The victim reportedly ran out in front of a vehicle.
State Senator Patty Ritchie has announced she has secured $100,000 to help the village of Central Square improve transportation for pedestrians and make improvements to its wastewater treatment plant.
The board of education approved a new principal for Minetto Elementary to replace Dr. Dean Goewey who was recently named assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction. The Oswego County Health Department reported today that the Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) virus has been found in several more mosquito samples collected in the towns of West Monroe and Hastings during routine testing conducted by the county and state health departments.
