Three Additional Arrests Made in March 4 Meth Probe
As a result of the continued investigation into the below listed incident from March 4, the Oswego City Police Department’s Anti-Crime Team (ACT) has made the following arrests: Kerriann M. Johnson, 23, of 1 E. Seventh St., Oswego; Dale K. Butler Jr., 32, and Kally L. Carr, 29, both of 212 Syracuse Ave., Oswego.
Sandy Creek Fairgrounds will Host Balloon Festival June 6 – 8
Hot air balloons will take to the skies over the Sandy Creek Fairgrounds and there will be plenty of action on solid ground with music, a petting zoo, crafts and vendors June 6, 7 and 8 at the Oswego County Balloon Festival. The event opens at 3 p.m. June 6, and closes with music by Frostbit Blue June 8.
Oswego Fire Chief Delivers His Operational Report
For about two hours Monday night, Fire Chief Jeff McCrobie explained the inner workings of his department and then fielded questions from the Common Council and members of the public. Councilors will now consider possible changes for the department. The discussion will continue at April 21’s committee meeting before the full council makes any kind of decision.
Traffic Stop Results In 3 Heroin Arrests
On Monday, investigators with the Oswego City Police Department’s Anti-Crime Team stopped a white colored Honda Civic on East Fourth Street just north of East Bridge Street. It was stopped as a result of an investigation into illegal heroin possession and sales occurring within the city. The three adult occupants of the vehicle were detained as the investigation proceeded. A three-year-old child was also in the vehicle. The adults were arrested.
State Police investigate fatal crash in Boyleston
State Police in Pulaski are investigating a fatal one-car crash that occurred at approximately 2:15 p.m., on County Route 17 in the town of Boyleston. A 2002 Chevy Venture, operated by Julianne Seaton, 43, from Lacona, was traveling south on County Route 17 in the town of Boyleston, Oswego County. Seaton died as a result of the accident.

It has been just over 10 years now that I have served in this body and slightly more than 10 months since I first accepted the responsibility as your chairman.As I look around the room today only three other legislators were here with me in 2004, legislators Kunzwiler, Malone and Proud. But while the faces have changed dramatically in those 10 years, many of our goals and objectives have not. Unfortunately neither have the various issues that continue to prevent us from fully reaching those goals.

New York State Outdoorsmen Hall of Fame Honors Fran Verdoliva
The New York State Outdoorsmen Hall of Fame proudly announces that its class of inductees for 2014 will include Fran Verdoliva of Mexico. Verdoliva will be honored at the annual banquet April 26 in Canastota. He has been a spokesman and advocate for ethical fishing standards and increased opportunity for salmon and steelhead fisherman for several decades.
