UPDATE: A three-year-old child is dead following Saturday night’s fire, authorities said.The other occupants of the residence were able to get out on their own and no other injuries were reported.The fire was at 70 W. Mohawk St. The blaze was reported at about 8:42 p.m.
Oswego Health will once again lead off Harborfest’s Children Parade with its new start time and route on July 26. Once the parade arrives at its new destination, the health system will offer fun games and activities for children. This year’s parade begins at Breitbeck Park at 1:30 p.m. and proceeds along West Fifth Street to Franklin Square/West Park.

At about 9 p.m., the Onondaga County 911 Center was advised that the New York State Police were in pursuit of a vehicle on Route 81 North near Preble and heading towards Onondaga County. A city resident filed a claim against the city for damages resulting from flooding of her finished basement. An investigation determined that the flooding was caused by negligence on the part of the city. The city will pay $16,463.84 in full settlement of the claim.
