An Unusual Event was declared at 3:05 p.m. The fire was extinguished at 3:08 p.m. Nine Mile Point exited the Unusual Event at 4 p.m. “The event posed no risk to the public or to plant employees. Appropriate officials and personnel were notified,” a plant spokesperson said.
The charges stem from an investigation into an incident that occurred in the town of Palermo where they allegedly were on the victim’s property trying to steal a large metal tank.
