In the wake of last week’s triple fatal accident, plans are under way for fundraisers to benefit the families of the victims. One would help a fund memorial scholarship account for the children of the three men who lost their lives June 5,
The facility would actually be floating in Oswego Harbor when completed. It would house an exhibition center, concert hall, retail space, an aquarium, apartments and more.
On Saturday, a boat launching from Dutchman’s Landing in Baldwinsville carried some very special passengers along the Erie Canal for a luncheon and boat cruise. The Thank a Service Member organization, of Oswego hosted an event for current and past service members to be recognized for their service and to enjoy a relaxing cruise on the Emita II.
The facility in Fort Ontario Park is in need of repairs. Members of the groups housed in the site are concerned about safety and told the council so Monday night. Earlier this spring, a young girl was injured on the steps at the site.
