UPDATE – BREAKING NEWS: The couple, 89-year-old Richard Hyse and his wife, 86-year-old Josephine Hyse. was discovered at approximately 6:30 p.m. Monday in their East Seventh Street residence.
Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava faced the music Monday for her decision to endorse a Democrat in the race for Congress after Republicans all but abandoned her candidacy.
Scozzafava was removed as Leader Pro Tempore of the Assembly’s Republican conference. Minority leader Brian Kolb said in a statement that Scozzafava stepped down voluntarily.
A huge crowd filled The American Foundry for Farnham Family Services’ annual Unplugged: Rock The Arts event. They were treated to a wide variety of artwork (up for auction) performances by three local bands and world-renowned artist David Garibaldi.
The youngsters and their guests enjoy a holiday meal with all the trimmings. The students’ grandparents and special friends were the guests of honor at Oswego County’s only Catholic school. The annual event is designed to honor everyone who helps the school and its students throughout the year, according to David Friedlander, principal.
The east side facility is open to all ages. It will teach various forms of self defense. Successfully completing the program can have a positive influence on the students, according to the owners.
