Earlier this fall, Ray Savarese visited the district to analyze the organization and operation of Oswego High School. He has shared his findings and recommendations with school officials. On Wednesday, he is looking forward to meeting with many of the people he interviewed, and hopes others interested in the high school take advantage of the opportunity to share their views.

Siena Poll: Aubertine Holds Lead In Senate Race

Darrel Aubertine continues to hold a double-digit lead in the 48th district State Senate race, according to a poll released Sunday by Siena College’s Research Institute.  The poll shows that Republican challenger Dave Renzi has eaten into the 20-point lead Siena found in September, but his own negatives have risen sharply.

‘New’ Production Of ‘Carmen’ Ushers In Opera Theatre’s 30th Season

Oswego Opera Theatre picked Georges Bizet’s popular opera to open its 30th anniversary season because it is one of the top three (operas), “ABCs, as they’re called; ‘Aida,’ ‘La Boheme,’ and ‘Carmen.” The cast features professionals and a host of local talent. The actors’ ages range from 8 to into their 70s.
