Emergency crews in Oswego were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision at 10:23 this morning near the intersection of West Bridge and Sixth streets. According to fire officials on the scene, the driver lost control of the vehicle, left the road, crashed into a house and rolled onto its side. The male patient was packaged and transported to a Syracuse area hospital with lower extremity injuries.

The Blue Team received a top three placement in the Elementary Level under 300 cartons division of the national Made by Milk Contest for their bear sculpture made out of empty milk cartons they collected throughout the Fourth Street School in Fulton.
The County of Oswego was informed today (Jan. 21) that the Board of Directors for New York State’s Empire State Development Corporation has approved the county’s application to establish a land bank as part of its efforts to combat the decline of housing stock and housing values throughout their various communities.
The Fulton City School District still has openings for preschool students in its Universal Pre-Kindergarten program for the current 2015-2016 school year. The UPK program will start registration for the following school year (2016-2017) in March.

The council’s committees gave a favorable recommendation to several requests to use public space, as well as a tent, vendor carts, and propane inspection and permit fee for anyone operating in public space. The resolutions were forwarded to the full council for action next week.
On January 16, State Police in Hastings, Fulton and Pulaski responded to a robbery at Speedy’s Gas Station located at 2634 State Route 49 in the town of West Monroe. On January 17, investigators arrested 30-year-old Cody J. Wakeman from West Monroe, for Robbery 2nd degree, a class “C” felony.
