Stanley, president of SUNY Oswego, was elected chair-elect of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities’ board of directors during the association’s annual meeting on Oct. 27. Stanley just completed a three-year term as secretary-treasurer on the AASCU board, which included service on the board’s executive committee.

Two Westside Oswego Residents Facing Drug Charges

On Tuesday (November 3), at approximately 12:50 p.m. the Oswego City Police Department’s Patrol Division, assisted by the Oswego County Drug Task Force, executed a drug related search warrant at 28 W. Fourth St., Oswego. Two residents of that address, 20-year-old Jamison S. Limperis and 23-year-old Michael S. Wolf, were arrested and criminally charged.

Fulton City 2015 Election Results

While the 2015 election seemed uneventful for Fulton voters, the results are in for the contested races in city council and legislature. Mayor Ronald Woodward Sr. ran uncontested as did three incumbent council seats in the first ward, fourth ward and sixth ward. However, the second ward, third ward and fifth ward saw one incumbent and five all new candidates running for their council seat.

Elected Officials Vow To Fight For FitzPatrick’s Workers, Plant’s Future

State Senator Patty Ritchie summed up Entergy’s announcement that it plans to shut down the James A. FitzPatrick nuclear power plant in one sentence. “To say that the news concerning FitzPatrick is disappointing is a serious understatement,” she told Oswego County Today. Governor Andrew Cuomo expressed the same sentiments.
