SUNY Oswego May Graduates Preparing For Next Stage

More than 1,700 SUNY Oswego students are eligible to take part in the three commencement ceremonies on May 16, with many already set on their next stage of life. Central New York residents will start recognizing meteorology major Molly Mattot as the weekend morning meteorologist for WSTM-3/WTVH-5 and on the CW-6’s 10 p.m. newscast Mondays through Wednesdays.

Oswego Councilors Seek Clear Sidewalk Policy

The discussion of who is responsible for sidewalk repair and maintenance continued at Monday night’s Administrative Services Committee meeting. Assistant City Attorney Tom Reynolds said the city charter authorizes the DPW, pursuant to Section C12-06, to require the owners of property fronting upon any street … “to construct, repair and keep in order sidewalks.” “The city can, but does not have to have the residents pay for the sidewalk,” he added. “The charter basically leaves it open.”

Christina’s Credits – Avengers: Age of Ultron Is Worth the Wait

Going in to see Joss Whedon’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, I was not happy. As to be expected, even on the second day, one had to wait in line an hour before the showing time to get a seat. If you can make it through all of the trailers for the upcoming comic book to screen adaptations, and believe me, there will be many, Age of Ultron will delight. It starts right in the middle of things, with incredible action sequences, and from there, the action rarely stops or even slows.
