Authorities Probe Fatal Officer-Involved-Shooting In Constantia

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, and Oswego County Coroner’s Office are investigating a fatal officer-involved-shooting that occurred on Friday, after Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence in the Town of Constantia for a check-the-welfare call. The deceased is a 58-year-old male resident of Constantia who was the subject of the check-the-welfare call.

YOU(th) Decide: Local Agency Joins Forces with the NY Council on Problem Gambling

The County of Oswego Council on Alcoholism and Addictions Inc. has received funding from the New York Council on Problem Gambling to carry-out the YOU(th) Decide project in Oswego County. COCOAA has been a part of this project for two years. 2015 marks the fourth year that the NY Council on Problem Gambling has given out mini-grants to local providers in an effort to prevent underage and problem gambling.

“April showers bring May flowers,” that’s how the old saying goes. With May comes the much anticipated colors of spring; bright, beautiful flowers and gardens. “After our awful winter, it’s nice to see color.
