On March 24, investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force arrested Kendra Hamilton, 22, of Oswego, on an arrest warrant issued by Oswego County Court. On March 20, Lisa Sheldon, 22, of Oswego, was arrested as a result of the continuing investigation into the alleged manufacturing of methamphetamine at 222 Liberty St., Oswego.
On Tuesday (March 24), Fulton Police charged Eric M. Snyder, 30, of Turtle Street in Syracuse, with multiple counts of sexual acts against a child, following an investigation into alleged abuse that occurred nearly 10 years ago. Fulton Police state that a victim came forward and reported being a victim of sexual abuse allegedly perpetrated by Snyder when the victim was a child.
On Tuesday (March 24), investigators with the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office charged 33-year-old Richard Graham Jr., of Furniss Station Road, with multiple felony counts involving rape, sex abuse, and sex acts against children and one count of rape against an adult victim.

UPDATE: Two people were home at the time of the fire, and were able to exit uninjured. According to fire officials on the scene, the fire appears to be accidental, started in the kitchen, and is under investigation.
Oswego Fire Department crews responded to a structure fire at 151 E. Bridge St., near Garafolo’s. The fire was reported around 5:09 p.m. today (March 24). No injuries were reported.
The Oswego City School District Board of Education heard its first draft of the 2015-16 budget on Monday night with a presentation by Superintendent of Schools Ben Halsey and Business Administrator Nancy Squairs. Halsey said, “ This is the first public look. It is challenging and continues to be a challenge. This is a snapshot of a draft proposal for the board of education to consider.” The Oswego City School District has until April 24 to formulize the budget as it needs to be approved by that date in order to follow the requirements for the May 19 vote.
The seven winners of the Pacesetter Award for 2014 are: the Port of Indiana – Burns Harbor, the Port of Erie, the Port of Duluth-Superior, the Port of Milwaukee, the Port of Cleveland, the Port of Toledo and the Port of Oswego.

Councilors set a public hearing for next month on a new local law that would give homeowners incentive to make capital improvements. It would allow for the exemption from taxes: “that portion of an increase in assessment to residential buildings occurring as a result of capital improvement.”
