More than 60 colleges and universities will have displays and representatives on hand to talk with prospective students and their families from 6 to 8 p.m. April 28, at Oswego County’s first College Fair.

The Oswego City Police Department has received information that the reported missing person, Charles J. Rice, was seen on Tuesday April 8, in the city of Auburn. It is believed he boarded a CENTRO bus around 2 p.m. in Auburn and traveled to the city of Syracuse. Anyone with information on Rice’s location is urged to contact police at 315-343-1212.

If you or someone in your family has memories of the 1944-1946 Fort Ontario Emergency Refugee Shelter located in Oswego, then the Safe Haven Museum wants to hear from you. Museum board members and SUNY Oswego students have launched a project called, “The Neighbors Project,” to collect and catalogue these stories.

The Oswego County Environmental Management Council (EMC) is proud to announce Earth Week throughout Oswego County starting April 25 and ending May 4. Earth Week is a time when individuals, schools, organizations and groups participate in a litter and debris cleanup in their community.

More than three dozen speakers voiced their concerns Tuesday night regarding possible budget cuts for the 2014-15 school year. The district’s projected revenue for the next school year is $79.8 million and projected expenses are $81.5 million – a gap of $1.7 million. The school board will continue to discuss all its options prior to when they have to adopt a budget. The next regular meeting will be April 22. The public vote is set for May.
