State Police are investigating a larceny that occurred on September 25, 2013, at the Wal-Mart Supercenter located at 3018 East Avenue in the village of Central Square. The recent snowfall and narrowing of some streets has made it difficult and challenging to get DPW Equipment as well as fire apparatus through some streets, city officials report. DPW Commissioner Michael Smith, Police Chief Tory Decaire and Fire Chief Jeffrey McCrobie urge residents whenever possible not to park directly opposite other vehicles on these streets.

The council voted 7-0 Monday to approve the Oswego Yacht Club’s request to use public space to host several regattas this season. However, two councilors had reservations regarding the club’s proposal to expand a deck on the property the club leases from the city.
