A teen is rescued from Lake Ontario near the lighthouse. Also, Oswego County residents help save a Cicero man who fell through the ice on Oneida Lake.
Most areas received about a foot or so of snow. Oswego saw 13 inches from the storm with Fulton getting a bit more.
At approximately 2 a.m. Thursday (Dec. 27), New York State Police in Fulton responded to 164 City Line Road in the town of Scriba for a report of a man with a stab wound to the neck.
Several county government offices are affected by a phone outage at the Public Safety Center and Department of Motor Vehicles Office in Oswego this morning. People who are making incoming phone calls to those departments are receiving a busy signal.
E-mail functions are not affected.
The mayor is imposing the alternate side parking restrictions in the city of Oswego, effective at 1 a.m. Thursday and these restrictions will remain in effect (from 1 to 6 a.m.) until further notice. He instructed the Police Department to issue ‘Courtesy Notices’ for the first several nights that the parking restrictions are in effect.
It will be windy and cold Thursday. The snow will let up – but we could already have received more than a foot by then.
