An armed robbery was attempted on 12/29/12 at about 7:30 p.m. at the Mirabito Gas Station on US 11 in the town of Hastings. The lone cashier was approached by a masked man armed with what appeared to be a black handgun, who demanded money, according to State Police.
Some Oswego High School athletes earned state championships. Also, the Oswego State Men’s Ice Hockey was in search of another national championship.
The Oswego County Legislature approved its proposed reapportionment plan on Friday.
The resolution received some opposition from both sides of the aisle and from a former member of the legislature. The vote was 14 yes, 9 no, 1 absent (Democrat Amy Tresidder), and 1 vacant.

At approximately 2 a.m. Thursday (Dec. 27), New York State Police in Fulton responded to 164 City Line Road in the town of Scriba for a report of a man with a stab wound to the neck.
