Police Searching For Robbery Suspect – UPDATE: Suspect Caught

UPDATE:  On November 6, the suspect in the November 4 larceny from Aldi’s was arrested by Oswego Police.  On Sunday at about 11:14 a.m. Oswego Police responded to Aldi’s, 290 State Route 104, Oswego, regarding a male that had just stole an undisclosed amount of cash from their register and fled the store.

Governor Cuomo Directs Flags To Half-Staff In Honor of 3 Members of the 444th Engineer Company

Specialist Brett E. Gornewicz from Alden, Specialist Ryan P. Jayne from Campbell, and Staff Sgt. Dain T. Venne, from Port Henry, died of wounds suffered when their humvee was struck by an improvised explosive device. The three men were assigned to the 444th Engineer Company which is headquartered in Oswego.

Cayuga CC campuses to host NYS Mobile Vet Center Nov. 5 and 6, part of Veterans Week celebration

As part of Cayuga Community College’s celebration of Veterans Week, the college will host the New York State Mobile Vet Center at its Auburn Campus from 1 to 5 p.m. on November 5. The Mobile Vet Center will travel to the Fulton Campus to meet with veterans from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on November 6.
