The USTA Tennis Program teaches basic tennis skills and gives youth a chance to get outside and exercise, said the program’s coordinator. An “Olympics” was held to give them a chance to show off what they’ve learned.
The Oswego County Health Department reports that West Nile virus was found in mosquitoes collected Aug. 7 near the Toad Harbor Swamp in West Monroe. The County was notified Aug. 20 by the New York State Department of Health of the positive mosquito sample.
They allegedly failed to provide the Oswego County Housing Department with proper living arrangements and income which would have made them ineligible for more than $12,000 in housing assistance.
