City of Oswego, Brookfield Implement New Personal Flotation Device Zones at Varick Hydropower Dam on Oswego River
These mandatory zones are clearly indicated on signage in the Oswego River and visually monitored via video security cameras. Individuals not wearing a personal flotation device are prohibited in these zones, and those failing to comply with these requirements are subject to prosecution for trespass.

Oswego County Continues to Monitor Mosquito Population
Accident at Pulaski Transfer Station Injures One
he Oswego County Department of Solid Waste confirmed that an accident involving a motor vehicle took place at the transfer station in Pulaski shortly after 12 p.m. today (June 25). After firefighters pulled the man from the vehicle, Northern Oswego County Ambulance Service transferred him to Upstate University Medical Hospital in Syracuse.

In preparation for 2012 Independence Day Parade, to be held on Sunday, the Oswego Police Department wishes to announce the following traffic advisories and general information:
Deputies: Man Hit With Tree Limb, Robbed
A Cleveland woman struck a man with a tree branch and then stole his wallet, according to sheriff’s deputies. At 5:49 a.m. on Friday, Sabrina E. Colvin, 26, of 243 State Route 49, Cleveland, was arrested for third-degree robbery, a class D felony.

OHS Class Of 2012 Graduates Into The Real World
After 13 years of school, it took less than 30 minutes Saturday to turn 279 OHS seniors into freshly minted graduates. The forecast for the Class of 2012 is sunny and bright, filled with some rough patches here and there, according to keynote speaker Dave Longley (OHS Class of 1990), chief meteorologist for WSYR News Channel 9 in Syracuse.
