During “Safe Stop,” police officers are in marked patrol units enforcing the New York State Traffic Law which requires all vehicles to stop for stopped school busses with their red lights flashing.

The Common Council sailed through its agenda Monday night. They approved several requests from the police department for travel and new vehicles, including a used up-Armored surplus military vehicle.
Thomas C. Albertson, 23, of Camp Lejeune and 471 Hall Road, New Milford, Pa., was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon Sunday morning at SUNY Oswego. University Police observed his unlocked pickup truck with the back window partly open and a weapon visible inside at about 7:30 a.m. in Lot 11 on campus.

During the month of April, Oswego County residents may be contacted by telephone to participate in an important all-hazards evacuation planning survey. The purpose is to gather data to help Oswego County improve evacuation plans for both man-made and natural disasters.
