Charity Bike Run Set To Assist Salvation Army
The Physical Services Committee got revved up for the annual Oswego Salvation Army and Oswego County ABATE Motorcycle Club’s charity bike run. This is the third year ABATE has volunteered to do this motorcycle run to help the Salvation Army.
Central New York Foreign Trade Zone Expanded to Include Oswego, Cayuga Counties
A bill co-sponsored by Assemblyman Bob Oaks and Assembly Will Barclay to expand Central New York’s Foreign Trade Zone will allow adjacent Oswego, Cayuga, Onondaga and Madison counties to collaborate and compete for new jobs and businesses in the global market.
Victim Identified In Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Fulton
Fulton Police identified the deceased motorcycle operator involved in last night’s fatal motor vehicle accident as 19-year-old Bradley L. Simpkins. The investigation into the cause of the accident is still under investigation. No tickets have been issued at this time.
Another Arrest Made In Volney Jewelry Theft Probe
Mikeal J. Steinberg, 19, of 4804 North Star Blvd., Liverpool, was arrested for third-degree grand larceny. He allegedly participated with three others in the theft of jewelry and a canoe from a residence.

Committee Hears Recommendations To Improve Oswego’s Tree Canopy
A partnership between the city of Oswego and the Tree Advisory Board continued to take root at Monday’s Physical Services Committee meeting. Following a lengthy discussion, the committee suggested the board take over several facets of the tree planting and care in the city and asked the board to meet with the mayor and DPW commissioner to work out further logistics.
Motorcycle-Truck Crash Claims Life In Fulton
The operator of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident is still under investigation and the victims name is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
Barclay: Unnecessary Regulations on Gun Manufacturers Removed from Budget
During budget negotiations, language that would require gun manufacturers to micro-stamp firearms was removed from the state budget bill and passed, without the regulation on gun manufacturers.
