They also approved overriding the state-mandated two-percent tax levy limit for 2012 if need be; and they approved using a county employee to inspect county-owned structures, in stead of paying the state more than $60,000 a year to do it. The Oswego City Police and Fire departments, as well as the New York State Police Dive
Team and the United States Coast Guard, are all assisting in the recovery effort, utilizing
specialized equipment to conduct a thorough search of the area.
At about 9:09 a.m. today (Nov. 29), Oswego City Police responded to a report of a two-car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of West Fifth and West Albany streets. As a result of the impact between the two vehicles, one was pushed up onto the sidewalk and struck a 25-year-old woman and her young son.
The Fulton Police Department is attempting to identify a male subject suspected of stealing a lady’s purse while in the parking lot of Kinney Drugs in Fulton. The incident occurred on Nov. 22 at about 6:30 p.m. as the victim left the store.
