Fulton Man Accused of Making Up Sighting of Ray Gregory

Brian J. DolbearPolice allege a Fulton man made up a sighting of a missing person in order to give the man’s family some hope.

In the police report of the incident, police allege that Dolbear called the mother of Ray Gregory to say that he had seen Gregory early Sunday morning at the Fastrac convenience store in Fulton.

Cayuga Community College Foundation Buys Rest of River Glen Plaza for Fulton Campus Expansion

 These vacant storefronts will soon be converted into the expanded Cayuga Community College Fulton Campus, as the CCCF River Glen Holdings Inc. a nonprofit subsidiary of the College Foundation, recently purchased a major portion of the River Glen Plaza property in Fulton.The River Glen Plaza property purchased by the Foundation’s subsidiary consists of the remaining 24.68 acres of land and approximately 124,000 square feet of building.  K-Mart and Dollar Tree stores currently occupy approximately 102,000 square feet. The Foundation’s subsidiary will collect rent from the two stores as well as the College, which hopes to expand into the 23,000 square feet of vacant storefronts.

County Schedules Public Hearing On Nuclear Plants’ Tax Status

At a special meeting today (Nov. 16), the Oswego County Legislature scheduled a public hearing on a local law that paves the way for a new tax deal with the Nine Mile Point I and II nuclear power plants. It would increase Constellation’s base payments to the county from $7.45 million to $10 million annually. The payments would go up the next two years of the deal also.

Oswego Man Faces Long Stretch in Prison after Guilty Plea to Counterfeiting

Anthony Paris.Twenty-year-old Anthony Paris of Oswego may be twice as old by the time he gets out of prison after his guilty plea this week to charges of counterfeiting.

Paris is one of four people charged in February with printing phony $10 and $20 bills, passing them at Oswego-area businesses.
