Mexico Home Destroyed By Fire; 4 Hospitalized
A Disaster Action Team from the American Red Cross of Central New York Region is assisting a family of four adults in Mexico after their home was destroyed by fire earlier today. A propane tank explosion destroyed the residence at 3236 U.S. Route 11 shortly before 1 p.m.

The recent Oswego Community Neighborhood Watch Program meeting provided an update on the city’s nuisance abatement ordinance. Nearly two dozen people attended the informational session at Oswego Library.According to coordinator Betty Gray, the more people know about the ordinance, the more they will be able to help police enforce it.

Sheriff: Parish Deaths Were Double Homicide And Suicide
The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office has closed its investigation into what they say was a double homicide and a suicide this summer. Three people were found dead in late July at 1675 County Route 11 in the town of Parish. The reason for the shootings will likely never be known

A five year projection of expenses and revenues shows an ever-widening gap between the two. By the fifth year, the deficit approaches $6 million on a $68 million budget.
