UPDATED 12:05 p.m.: The probable cause of the house fire this morning at 66 Liberty St in Oswego appears to be accidental and associated to cooking on the stove, according to Fire Chief Jeff McCrobie. While the investigation is not complete, at this time that appears to be the cause.
One person, a three-year-old, was taken to Oswego Hospital and transferred to Upstate in Syracuse to be treated for smoke inhalation, Fire Chief Jeff McCrobie told Oswego County Today. Two adults were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The next meeting of the Oswego Community Neighborhood Watch Program will focus on the city’s Nuisance Abatement ordinance. It will be held at the Oswego Public Library down stairs in the Community Room on Nov. 10 from 6 – 8 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to attend, the coordinator says.

Today (Nov. 2), the Fulton Police Department arrested Charles D. Fitzgerald, the owner of The 420 Emporium, 105 E. Broadway. He was arrested and charged with 47 counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, which is a Class D Felony.
