A brief dedication ceremony was held today (Oct. 25) to officially change Canal View Drive to Onondaga Street. About two dozen people, including city officials and representatives of the Onondaga Nation gathered for the ceremony.

County legislators got to work Monday examining the department budgets that will make up the entire 2012 spending plan. Over the next few days, other county committees will be doing the same thing. The final budget is expected to be adopted Dec. 15.
The suspect is accused of subjecting a female, whose age ranged during this time period from 11 years old to 13 years old, to multiple encounters of sexual conduct with him while at a Town of Hastings residence, acts that occurred between June 2010 and September 2011.

At its meeting Monday night, the Common Council will consider a resolution to join forces with the county in opposing the manufacture and sale of synthetic drugs, such as Happy Shaman. Last week, a county legislator urged the Common Council to approve a resolution similar to what the county recently passed.
