The 30th annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend will honor 10 New York State firefighters who died in the line of duty in 2010 and in previous years, including an Oswego firefighter. Scott W. Davis of the Oswego Fire Department died after suffering a heart attack within 24 hours after several emergency responses on June 20, 2010.
Edward Moses came to Central New York to start a new life, but his old one caught up with him Monday thanks to a contractor’s suspicions.
Fulton Police say Moses and his girlfriend were sitting in a car at Empower Federal Credit Union on S. Second St. in Fulton Monday morning. A contractor working on the building thought that was suspicious.
At approximately 8:56 a.m., Fulton Police responded to the parking lot of Empower Federal Credit Union located at 520 S. Second St. in regard to an occupied suspicious vehicle.
Fulton’s Homecoming Week ended Friday with the traditional football game under the lights.
Fulton beat New Hartford, 32-22, behind four touchdowns from Mark Pollock.

UPDATE: Authorities reported Monday that an elderly couple from Watertown were killed in the crash.
State Route 104 was closed between county routes 29 and 51 in Scriba as of 11:30 a.m. on Friday. It was closed for several hours. Officials say an accident involving a car and tractor-trailer has killed two people.
