The British Flag was lowered and the American Flag was raised over historic Fort Ontario as a large audience, mostly elementary students, learned about the history of the flag and the fort, too.
A bit more showers now. A bit more humidity later.

The entire student body turned out Monday morning to salute the flag. Special guests at the program were John Canale and members of Oswego’s Battle of the Bulge organization.
The former deal expired June 30, 2010. The new contract is effective July 1, 2010, through June 30, 2015. The agreement sets a starting rate of $7.90 per 1,000 gallons for the first year. It then increases 3 percent per year for each year after. The college will also pay a share of the cost of the upgrade of the city’s westside wastewater treatment plant.
The Oswego County Hospice held its 12th annual Oswego County Hospice Cup Regatta this past weekend. The regatta was able to raise more than $20,000 to benefit the patients who receive services of the Oswego County Hospice and their families.
Sports boosters honor GRB athletes, school improvement plans are underway, and seniors get ready to say goodbye.
