Oswego School Polling Places Open Noon – 9 p.m. May 17; One New Polling Place
Oswego City School District voters will be going to the polls on May 17 from noon to 9 p.m. at 10 polling places spread throughout the district. This year the voters in the fifth district or fifth ward in Oswego will be casting their ballots at the Cullinan Ice Rink, located directly behind Kingsford Park Elementary School.
Oswego Council OK’s Sales Tax Rate Continuation
At its meeting Monday night, the Common Council unanimously endorsed the continuation of the additional one percent sales and compensating use tax, which is due to expire on Nov. 30. It is not a new tax, the mayor pointed out.

Oswego Councilors To Consider Moving Ahead With Improvements For McCrobie Civic Center
The Common Council is expected to vote on resolution Monday night to approve certain restoration work for the historic landmark. Grant funding won’t cover the entire project. So, only parts will be done currently.
