Abby Jenkins has been involved in the Tobacco Control Program in various capacities for several years. She was a Reality Check Program assistant while getting her college degree at SUNY Oswego. She loved her time in the Port City so much as a student, she jumped at the chance to return.
It will be a three-way race, again, for the seat in Congress that represents Oswego County. Matt Doheny came to his Fulton headquarters and surrounded himself with local Republican political leaders to claim victory in the Republican primary. But as Doheny was holding his press conference, the man he beat was setting the stage for yet one more comeback.
Police were called to a Cherry Street residence earlier today in regards to shots being fired. When they searched the residence no one was found. Authorities are looking for two men armed with a handgun and possibly driving a white Ford sedan with a different colored hood.
BREAKING NEWS: Shortly before 11:45 a.m. today a drill rigger, working where a new science building is being constructed on the SUNY Oswego campus, tipped over. The construction site is located between Piez Hall and Snygg Hall.

The Oswego City School District is one of 112 school districts and Board of Cooperative Educational Services in the state to receive the “2010 School Safety Excellence Award†from the Utica National Insurance Group.
At its Sept. 13 meeting, the council approved authorizing the mayor to enter into a pre-possession agreement with Fowler Gardella Construction and Thomas Miller for property located at 1-7 W. Seneca St.
The state plans to rehabilitate the Broadway bridge in Fulton, a two year process that will be hard on drivers but could be harder on pedestrians.
The bridge is safe, according to state Department of Transportation spokesman Gene Cilento, but it needs a lot of work. The project intends to replace not only the bridge surface and sidewalks, but also replace some girders and piers as well as modify the approaches to the bridge at either end.
Fulton Police say they arrested two men Wednesday for what they alleged was a home invasion.
