Fulton Common Council meetings are likely to be a little less positive from now on, now that Bob Weston’s 16 year career as an Alderman is over. They’re also likely to be shorter.
Weston announced earlier this year he would not seek reelection as Alderman from the city’s third ward. A quick special meeting on Tuesday was the last hurrah of a political career that he said began by accident.

Entergy has notified local and federal officials of a release of radioactive tritium into a storm drain.
It is less than 1/30th of the amount needed to trigger automatic notification of local, state and federal officials. Entergy said in the filing that because the tritium was found in a storm drain, the company decided it was prudent to notify officials anyway.
The world’s biggest private equity company has completed its purchase of Birds Eye Foods, including the Birds Eye Fulton plant. The sale to Blackstone Group‘s Pinnacle Foods Group cost $1.3 billion.
