Fulton Schools Closing In On New Mascot And Logo
They used to be the “Red Raiders” and their mascot was a proud Native American in an Iroquois headband.
Now, the district’s only logo is the red “F” you see at left. And they’re just the “Raiders” these days. (Or, at least, that’s what they’re supposed to be called.)
But soon, the district may have a new mascot and logo, thanks to a school marketing class project.
Mimi’s Drive-In won the 10th annual Trinity Catholic School Corporate Spelling Bee. The friendly competition helps support Oswego County’s only Catholic school. Eleven three-member teams took part in the fund-raiser, which featured some of the hardest words in its history.
Parents will never forget April 20, 1999, as that was the day of the tragic shootings at Columbine High School. Oswego students and parents will have a unique opportunity on Oct. 19 as “Rachel’s Challenge†will come to Oswego. This program is based on the inspiring and courageous story of Rachel Scott, the first person killed at Columbine High School.
