A vacant lot on Phillips St. in Fulton won’t be vacant much longer.
The state awarded the city grants totalling $362,000 to build four homes on the lot and to hook them into the city’s water and sewer systems.
“It adds tax base and brings new families to Fulton,” Mayor Ron Woodward said recently.
The “Pageant of Champions’ will take to Joe Wilber Field on Saturday at 6 p.m.

The Oswego Fire Department responded to a structure fire Wednesday evening at 78 E. Fifth St. There were no injuries reported. A dog inside the home at the time of the fire was brought to a veterinarian. The cause of the blaze was said to be food left cooking on the stove.

Rick Lazio entered the race for Governor of New York on Tuesday, promising to stay in the race even if Republican powerhouse Rudy Giuliani jumps in.
Lazio announced his candidacy at a series of press conferences across the state.
