President Obama will be in Troy today for a speech at Hudson Valley Community College. Gov. David Paterson will be there, too, just one day after the New York Times reported that Obama’s political advisor took the unusual step of meeting with Paterson to ask him not to run for election next year.

Oswego County Flu Clinics Begin on September 21
The Oswego County Health Department will hold its first seasonal flu clinic on Monday, September 21, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Nick Sterio Public Health Clinic on Bunner Street in Oswego. The next flu clinics are scheduled for Wednesday, September 30 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the H. Douglas Barclay Courthouse on Bridge Street in Pulaski; and from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Nick Sterio Public Health Clinic on Bunner Street in Oswego.
Dozens Take Historic ‘Walk’ Through Oswego’s Streets
Doris Allen, a long-time resident of Oswego, took people on an historic walk through city streets uncovering clues about Oswego’s past on Saturday afternoon. The more than six dozen crowded into the H. Lee White Marine Museum didn’t have to step outside, as Allen invited them to let their imaginations do the walking.

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, along with members of the US Border Patrol, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, Drug Enforcement Administration, Fulton Police Department, and the Oswego Police Department, seized over 300 marijuana plants in Hannibal, Oswego town and Scriba in a joint eradication effort.
