U.S. Rep. John Katko (NY-24), today joined members of New York’s Congressional Delegation in urging the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to reconsider its decision to potentially allocate vital funding to hospitals based on Medicare payment data, without considering the severe impact COVID-19 has had on hospitals in hotspots like New York State.

Today, U.S. Rep. John Katko (NY-24), Co-Chair of the bipartisan Mental Health Caucus, requested that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) expand Medicare coverage to ensure seniors in Central New York have the ability to access quality mental healthcare over the phone.
