SUNY Oswego freshman Samia Montgomery has shown an ability to overcome much — the death of her father, an illness for her mother, homelessness and hunger — while continuing to excel, which made her one of five statewide recipients of the Carey Gabay Scholarship Program.

State Police arrested Amy M. Grandazzo, 43, from 205 Martville Road in Martville, for 32 counts of NYS Agriculture and Markets Law §353: Overdriving, torturing and injuring animals; failure to provide proper sustenance (class “A” misdemeanor) and one count of §357: Selling or offering to sell or exposing diseased animal (unclassified misdemeanor)

The proposed agreement partners with the Oswego County Veterans’ Agency and Director Jamie Hamlin to provide dogs to military veterans with a documented need for service animals.
