SUNY Oswego Graduate Student Helps Bring Fort Ontario History Alive

Visitors to Oswego’s historic Fort Ontario will get to see past and present merge, thanks to an augmented reality project by a SUNY Oswego graduate student. Theodore Johnson, a student in the master’s in human-computer interaction program, completed the project thanks to a grant from the college’s new Impact Scholars program, robust archives and expert teamwork.

Oswego County Plans Aerial Spraying this Evening in Palermo, Mexico and Hastings

The Oswego County Health Department plans to conduct aerial spraying of approximately 12,000 acres in portions of the towns of Palermo, Mexico and Hastings this evening, Sept. 9. Weather permitting, the county will conduct a second aerial spray over the Toad Harbor Swamp area Tuesday, Sept. 10.

Schumer, Gillibrand Announce $1.8 Million In Funding For Breitbeck Park In Oswego

Arrest Made In OHS Incident

The Oswego City Police Department’s School Resource Officer, working with Oswego City School District officials, identified the suspect in Wednesday’s (September 4) incident in which a call was made to 911 regarding a gun at the Oswego High School prompting the school to go into lockdown. The suspect who placed the 911 call reporting a false incident was identified as a 14-year-old boy. He is an OHS student.
