OCSD, Partner Agencies Respond to Safety Concern

Early this morning, after freshmen were at the Oswego High School, a call was made to 911 regarding a gun at that location. Upon notification, the school immediately went into lockdown.OHS was released from lockdown at 11:20 a.m. upon an all-clear notification with no findings. The investigation is continuing.

Having a Plan Helps Save Lives During Emergencies and Disasters

“Prepared Not Scared” is an appropriate theme for National Preparedness Month, Dale A. Currier, director of the Oswego County Emergency Management Office, said. “Having a plan to respond to any emergency or disaster gives people something to focus on,” he said. “Following the plan may save your life or someone else’s.”
