The Port City commemorated the Aug. 5, 1944, arrival of 982 Holocaust refugees at the Fort Ontario Emergency Refugee Shelter. Mayor Barlow Submits REDI Proposal For City of Oswego to New York State

Mayor Billy Barlow announced today, August 6, the city has submitted an application to be considered or Governor Andrew Cuomo’s $300 million Resiliency and Economic Development Initiative to New York State. REDI was announced by Governor Cuomo earlier this year due to high water levels and flooding along the shoreline of Lake Ontario, causing millions of dollars in damage and wreaking havoc all along the shoreline.
