Fulton Fire Department Thanks Community Supporters

With the implementation of the Community Risk Reduction (CRR) initiative, Fulton Fire Department reached out to community stakeholders for help in achieving their overall goal: “to reduce the risk of fire, rescue, and medical events in our community by being involved, relevant, and engaged,” Chief Eiffe said. With strong response, the largest financial support as of yet came as a $5,000 donation from Pathfinder Bank.

FCSD: Threat to High School Not Credible

Principal Donna Parkhurst said a threatening Facebook post on a personal page of one of the district’s students was brought to the attention of school officials. Ultimately, law enforcement determined the student did not have the intent nor the ability to cause harm to students, staff, or the school community, she continued.

Developing and restoring buildings in his hometown is “intensely satisfying” and is his “passion,” he told the councilors. He was upset over a picket at the Cahill Building, which he had renovated.

Shineman Foundation, Oswego County Fund Free Online Job Prep Courses

Oswego County residents can get free job skills training online as part of “Skill-Up Oswego County 2.0,” an initiative of the Oswego County Workforce Development Board. The online classes are funded by a grant from the Richard S. Shineman Foundation and by the Oswego County Department of Social Services.
