The arrest stems from the investigation into incidents that occurred between late summer/early fall of 2008 and May 2009 at a town of Granby address. He allegedly engaged in numerous encounters of sexual contact with two separate victims, both being less than 11 years of age.

A fatal snowmobile accident is under investigation today (Feb. 8) in the town of Granby. Sheriff’s deputies responded to Pratt Drive, off Bingham Road, around 5 a.m.
The Fulton Recreation Center has entered the Kraft Hockeyville contest for the chance to win $150,000 in rink upgrades and the opportunity to host a pre-season NHL game. The contest relies heavily on community support, utilizing a Community Rally Page for members of the community to earn rally points toward scoring in the judging phase of the contest. On a conference call today (Feb. 7) with reporters, U.S. Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer announced that he successfully negotiated a bipartisan and historic agreement that will significantly increase federal investments on key priorities for New York State. As the Senate Democratic Leader, Schumer led the effort in securing an increase in funds for programs that will help middle-class New Yorkers, all the way from upstate Buffalo to the east end of Long Island.
The Fulton Common Council quickly moved through a busy agenda at Tuesday’s (Feb. 6) regular meeting including a resolution of respect, property sale, requests for proposals, several appointments, and the winning bid announcement for the construction of the city’s new salt storage shed. Boy Scout Troop 715 attended the meeting in order to earn merit badges, bringing several young faces to the meeting.

The show runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. featuring a variety of different vendors from financial institutions offering help on mortgages to contractors and suppliers offering ideas on improvements.
After a traffic stop by University Police, Jared Durval, 20, was charged with aggravated family offense (violating an order of protection) and criminal contempt in the first degree, both Class E felonies, as well as failure to obey a stop sign, an infraction.
More than 500 lab-confirmed cases of the flu have been reported in Oswego County this year. The week of Jan. 29 saw a 57 percent increase in the number of reported cases of flu, compared to the previous week. Regional hospitals have reported that two older Oswego County residents have died from complications from the flu. Both individuals had been vaccinated for the flu and had other health complications. A third resident, who had not been vaccinated, is hospitalized in critical condition.
Recently Fulton Block Builder (FBB) volunteers sat down to meet with the Oswego Renaissance Association founders Paul Stewart and Steve Phillips. FBB volunteers came with a list of questions for Paul and Steve, who graciously took time to answer each one. At Monday night’s Administrative Services Committee meeting, Mayor Billy Barlow requested consideration by the Common Council in approving the Office of Economic Development to prepare and submit a grant application for $500,000 to the New York State Affordable Housing Corporation for the Oswego Home Improvement Program. This program will provide financial assistance to existing owner-occupied one- to four-unit family homes, the mayor explained.
