At Monday night’s meeting of the Planning and Development Committee, Councilor John B. Gosek rolled out some new wording regarding his proposed changes to the city’s Taxicab Ordinance (Chapter 228). NYS Police Provide Information on Fatal Three-Vehicle Crash

New York State Police have released information regarding a fatal three-vehicle accident on NYS Route 481. Onondaga County 911 received a call around 11 a.m. today (Nov 7) reporting a small, dark colored sedan traveling northbound on NYS Route 481 when it “crossed over into the center median, across the southbound lanes and into the brush on the west side of the highway. Witnesses then reported the vehicle began to back up through the brush and begin to drive north in the southbound lanes,” the press release said.

BOCES Leader Urges Districts ‘Stop Adapting, Start Evolving’

“Adapting means we cut or we trade this for that. We tend to be bartering within our own districts. We’re adapting to the situation and there’s not a lot of value added there. All we’re really doing is trying to make sure we’re putting out the best program we can for kids,” he explained. “What I’m proposing – it’s an out there thought – is we stop adapting and we start evolving. Evolution is adapting with some value added.” He proposes doing a large regionalized study looking at programs and program equity; try to do our best looking at fiscal projections.

Fulton Speedway Races Past The $20,000 Mark Raised For Children’s Miracle Network, Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital

A few years ago former Fulton Speedway competitor Joe Buske, and his family came up with the idea to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network that is very near and dear to them. They chose the Fulton Speedway to put their idea in motion. Through the kindness and generosity of the great fans and race teams at the Fulton Speedway over the years, by the end of the 2016 racing season more than $20,000 has been raised for the Children’s Miracle Network.

Brewerton Man charged with Attempted Robbery of a Hardware store in Oswego County

On Friday, State Police responded to a reported armed robbery in progress at the Parish Hardware store located at 2695 E. Main St., in the village of Parish. The investigation revealed a man had entered the store, walked up to a cashier and demanded money from the cash drawer. The clerk stated he refused to give the suspect the money after noticing the suspect was holding a toy gun.

Hastings Woman Charged With Driving While Intoxicated Following Crash

Investigation at the scene revealed that Kaleena G. Brown, 33, from 16 Baratier Road, Hastings, had lost control of her vehicle and exited the roadway striking an earth embankment and a mailbox. Troopers further determined she was allegedly intoxicated and was in possession of marijuana.
