Traffic Stops End In Drug Possession Charges For Two Men

On Wednesday, State Police stopped a vehicle in Schroeppel for a traffic violation. It was determined the driver, Joseph Rinaldi, of Phoenix, was allegedly driving with a suspended license. Further investigation revealed that Rinaldi and his passenger, Douglas Migliaccio, of Phoenix, were in possession of cocaine and other drug paraphernalia, according to police.

Former Nestles Demolition Update: Photos

As the July 1 demolition deadline set forth in a contract with Aldi has come and gone, city officials remain adamant that the agreement with Aldi will forge on. Interest in a corner lot on South Fourth and Fay streets has come from international supermarket chain, Aldi who then signed a contract with the city of Fulton in hopes to build and open a store at this location by Christmas of this year. Despite the delays, executive director of the community development agency, Joe Fiumara has confirmed that Aldi is still interested and pursuing their contract with the city.

Kinney Drugs recognized as Top National Wear Red Day Fundraising Company

Kinney Drugs, the drug store division of KPH Healthcare Services, Inc., received the top honor after raising $30,000 during its 2016 Heart Health campaign. This donation edged out all other companies in the nation, including Wall Street financial firm Morgan Stanley, which ranked number 2 with a donation of $29,969.

Oswego Man Facing Sexual Abuse, Other Charges

On Tuesday, Shaun MacIsaac, of Oswego, was arrested for first-degree sexual abuse, a class D felony; first-degree disseminating indecent material to minors, a class D felony; third-degree sexual abuse, a class B felony; and two counts of forcible touching, a class A misdemeanor. The arrest stems from the investigation into an incident that occurred in Oswego.

Oswego School District Updated on Progress of Ed Center Marketing

The Oswego City School District’s Education Center could be sold in nine to 12 months; or, maybe even sooner. Or it could take quite a bit longer to find a buyer for the 120 E. First St. property. At Tuesday night’s board of education meeting, the district approved Pyramid Brokerage Company as the authorized broker for the sale of the Education Center.

City Officials Visit Reach Youth Repairing Homes in Fulton

City officials traveled through the city of Fulton to meet Reach program youth at work sites as they rehabilitated more than 50 homes in the area. Mayor Ronald Woodward Sr. and first, second and third ward councilmen Thomas Kenyon, David Ritchie, and Donald Patrick Jr. respectively, visited many of the work sites to meet the Reach youth and staff, and speak with participating homeowners. “This is really great,” said Mayor Woodward. “The kids are working really hard and the homeowners are very appreciative.”
