Traffic Stop Results In Drug Charges For Two Fulton Women

The driver, Deanna J. Wettering, 35, of Fulton, was found to allegedly be in possession of several prescription pills without a valid prescription, including Adderall, Lyrica, and clonazepam. The vehicle’s passenger, Kristina R. Serio, 33, also of Fulton, was found to be in possession of Adderall and hydrocodone pills without a prescription, as well as heroin, police said.

Proposed School Budget Contains Large Reductions

The tentative 2016-17 budget for the Oswego City School District has cut the fat – and then some. “Nobody likes reductions … I hate these reductions,” Dr. Dean Goewey, superintendent, said Tuesday night after unveiling his updated budget plan. The $79,510,611 budget proposal is less than the current budget and less than the 2014-15 budget. However, the cuts are severe. Many positions have been targeted for reduction at all levels within the district.

Two Fulton Residents Facing Felony Drug Charges

On Sunday (April 3), at approximately 4:45 p.m. investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force executed a narcotics related search warrant on Helen A. Holbrook-Mace, as she operated a 2004 Jeep Liberty on South Fourth Street at Nestle Ave. in the city of Fulton. In furtherance of the investigation a separate search warrant was executed at approximately 5:10 p.m. at the residence of 404 Erie St, Apt. #3 in the city of Fulton. William J. Paternoster, was at the residence at the time of execution.

New York State DMV Announces 81 Arrests During ‘Operation Prevent’ Underage Drinking Sweeps

From March 31 through April 2, investigators from DMV’s Division of Field Investigation teamed up with the State Liquor Authority and local law enforcement agencies to conduct sweeps in Cortland, Niagara Falls, Oswego, and Saratoga Springs, during which dozens of fake IDs were confiscated.
