SPC Kyle Robert Rookey, 23 died Sunday September 2, 2012, in Jalalabad, Afghanistan while serving in the US Army. Kyle was based out of Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Colo. He was born in Oswego and was the son of George E. Rookey and Carol Sue Slater Akers of Oswego.

Norman E. Dieteman, 79, a resident of Oswego, passed away Monday September 3, 2012, at Morningstar Care Center.
Wanda F. Segal, 90, a resident of 305 W. Third St., Oswego, passed away Saturday September 2, 2012, at Oswego Hospital.
Bette Elizabeth Turner, 90, former Phoenix, resident, passed away on Monday September 3, 2012, at Iroquois Nursing Home, Jamesville.
Dorothy Palmer Fresch, 96, of Hannibal, died Saturday September 1, 2012, at Oswego Hospital.
Judy E. Trepasso, 68, of Fulton, died Saturday September 1, 2012, at Oswego Hospital after a short illness.
