College Student Association Working To Curb Student Problems In City

great emphasis on fostering positive relationships with the city of Oswego and its

The organization called Thank a Service Member gave a ceremonial send-off to soldiers from the 444th Engineer Company of Oswego as they prepared to deploy to Afghanistan last week. Thank a Service Member formed, as the name suggests, to simply thank soldiers for serving our great country.
On Jan. 27 and 28, Catholic Charities of Oswego County have teamed with Ruby Tuesday Restaurants in Oswego and Clay for a fundraiser that potentially could provide our food pantry and CYO programs with much needed financial support.
Thanks to their efforts and the generosity of Kinney Drugs’ customers who donated gifts, Christmas was a little merrier for many Mexico area seniors who participate in Oswego County Opportunities’ Home Delivered Meals program and those that visit OCO’s Senior Dining and Activity Center.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to all those who lent their support to the United Way’s Annual Stone Soup Luncheon. The event was a perfect example of the United Way’s ‘Live United’ concept as the community came together to help our area food pantries.
On behalf of the hundreds of children and their families that we serve at the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County I would like to thank those caring businesses and individuals who helped to make our 8th Annual Blue Ribbon Ride Against Child Abuse such a success.
Last year Catholic Charities of Oswego County provided Christmas dinners, complete with turkey and all the fixings, to more than 360 hungry families in Oswego County. Additionally, we provided Christmas presents to more than 620 children. We would not have been able to do that if not for the generous donations that we received from caring community members.
Let me take this opportunity to remind you that I have chosen to retire my tenure as the first ward councilor. I approached Fran Enwright a few months ago and asked if he would please consider being my First Ward councilor.
