Today, I am very pleased to announce that the Ethics Complaint filed against me last December by former County Legislature Chairman Barry Leemann has been unanimously dismissed by the Oswego County Board of Ethics as being meritless.
How can the government keep telling us that these new type of drugs are dangerous and ban the use of them, when we know that the drugs that are legal are just as dangerous or more so and have been proven so for many decades?
Another season has ended for the Oswego State Men’s ACHA D1 hockey team and we have many people to thank for our successful season. We could not have done as well as we did without the financial support of the Student Association of Oswego State University.
I extend a heartfelt thank you to all those who lent their support to the United Way’s Fourth Annual Stone Soup Too Luncheon graciously hosted by Holy Trinity Parish in Fulton.
Talented young people prevailed this past week on stage with the production of Damn Yankees by the Quirk Players. The Fulton Art Association’s High School Invitational Art and Photography Show at the Community Room at City Hall had 111 entries from 89 students from Fulton, Hannibal, Oswego and Phoenix high schools. With various methods of artistic expression the artists showcased their talents.
The Family Court I knew never put a price tag on its commitment to seeing that I and many other youth in foster care were successful. It never looked at sending me back to an unstable environment v. saving a small amount of money.
The Warm Up Oswego committee would like to thank all members of the community who came out to the Oswego YMCA Armory for the festival made it a huge success on Feb. 3 and 4. We warmed up the city so much it didn’t seem like winter!
We would like to recognize and congratulate all of the participants who played a part in the Fulton high school winter sport events. This would include the administration, hard working and dedicated coaches, booster club members, community and school volunteers, family members and fans, cheerleaders, dance team and especially the athletes who make up the teams.
The event raised more than $6,000 to help support our efforts to provide vital services to children who have been sexually or physically abused, neglected or maltreated.
