United Way’s Stone Soup Too Luncheon A Success

I extend a heartfelt thank you to all those who lent their support to the United Way’s Third Annual Stone Soup Too Luncheon held recently at Holy Trinity Parish in Fulton.
Community Action was birthed in the mid-1960s out of the Johnson Administration’s War on Poverty and 1,200 agencies like Oswego County Opportunities have been fighting that battle in their respective communities ever since.

We’ve had almost 200 inches of snowfall this season. The people on West Second Street South, between Broadway and Voorhees Street, worked together in plowing sidewalks and even driveways so that no one was stranded.
SUNY Oswego is to be commended for their efforts on behalf of the United Way of Greater Oswego County.
Thanks to the support we received for our Let’s Give For A Kid program we were able to make Christmas a little merrier for hundreds of children and families throughout Oswego County.
It is with great pleasure that I extend a sincere thank you to DuFore’s Jewelers in Oswego. For more than 50 years DuFore’s Jewelers has been a cherished supporter of United Way.
City council member reminds residents it’s the law to keep sidewalks cleared of snow. She asks everyone to “shovel a step further” and consider clearing a neighbor’s sidewalk, open up a cross walk, clear your own sidewalk.
